Moving the needle: Advances in prehospital trauma resuscitation
This talk will examine the concept of the “golden hour” for definitive trauma care and how our approach to resuscitation is evolving, with emphasis on delivering more advanced care in the prehospital environment before it’s too late. We will review several strategies, including Tranexamic Acid (TXA) administration, blood product resuscitation, junctional tourniquet application, and Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA).
